The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiations for the reclamation and ongoing maintenance of Utility Right-Of-Ways by the Louisa County Water Authority (LCWA). Service Requirements: 1. The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, transportation and all incidentals required and/or implied for the complete and satisfactory performance of reclamation and ongoing maintenance of utility right-of-ways including overhead high voltage distribution with voltage to 12KV and gas lines, on an as needed basis by LCWA. 2. This work shall include but not be limited to, the trimming of trees and shrubs encroaching on utility right-of-ways (by use of chain saws, skid steer with mulching head or by whatever means necessary for access of utility infrastructure), complete removal of trees and shrubs down to ground level along new right-of-ways, reduction of tree and brush materials by use of a wood chipper and hauling chips to an agreed upon location (more than likely the landfill). 3. Bushhogging of right-of-ways 2–4 times per year as deemed necessary by LCWA for access of utility infrastructure. Bonds required.
