The Jefferson Reservoir is an 8-million-gallon concrete reservoir, approximately 30 feet tall and 220 feet in dimeter, located west of Jefferson Street. The City of Wenatchee has reported that the reservoir is leaking and continues to get worse as time goes on and require the improvement of this reservoir to stop this loss of water. The City has also expressed the desire to make various safety improvements to the reservoir, to be more up to modern standards. This project will include the installation of a HDPE geomembrane floor liner to stop and prevent leaking, the replacement of both the exterior and interior access ladders, the installation of a new reservoir access hatch, installation of railing around a portion of the perimeter of the reservoir roof, and the repair of the hatch on the altitude valve vault. Construction for the interior of the tank will need to be performed when the reservoir is out of service and can be drained.
