Total Small Business Set-Aside, 238330 - Flooring Contractors. 1. Furnish all necessary labor, material, equipment, transportation, and services to perform the following items of work. 2. Remove current flooring, and (Base Cove) coving ZSE ARTCC Mechanical Room. 3. The floor surface must be prepared to accept the new coat of low voc epoxy flooring on its top. 4. Remove foreign materials such as oil, refrigerant, dirt, and dust particles from the surface. 5. Follow by grinding, shot blasting, and scarifying to have a course surface for better bonding with the mother floor. 6. Patch and repair all the major cracks identified on the floor to provide durability to epoxy flooring. 7. Rout crack with v-notch crack chaser if needed. Blow out crack with oil-free dry compressed air. Partially fill crack with dry sand if needed. 8. Follow with crack repair by gravity-fed epoxy resin (ACI RAP-2). 9. Apply surface priming coat to the floor. During priming, ensure that the primer makes its way deep into the floor. 10. After applying the primer coat, fill all the visible cracks and holes present on the floor with epoxy. 11. The floor must be lightly ground, sanded, and re-layered. 12. Test sealant using a significant amount of water applied to the floor. If the water is not soaked in, then the floor can be applied with a low voc epoxy coating for a final coating thickness of NLT 3/8”. 13. Color of epoxy floor to be selected by FAA from manufacture's standard selection of colors. 14. Broadcast colored quartz chips with a Heavy Sprinkle Partial (Random) Broadcast pattern into flooring as required (Color of Quartz chips to be selected by FAA). 15. After application, cure the epoxy floor at the required temperature. 16. Ensure that the curing process is initiated only when the epoxy begins a reaction with another curing agent.
