The project will remove the existing linear accelerator and replace it with a new Varian model and controls, remove and replace the existing vault door, replace finishes and casework. The Owner’s vendor will supply and install the new equipment. Contractor to provide renovations to accommodate and support the new equipment per the vendor’s installation documents, project specifications and project design documents. Contractor to coordinate installation with vendor and provide on-site support during installation. The project includes the remodel of the adjacent changing area, minor modifications to finishes and casework in Vault B, installation of new UPS units to support the new linear accelerator in Vault C and the existing linear accelerator in Vault D. Included also is the renovation of room NN182 to for the UPS units and includes modifications to the ceiling, electrical system, HVAC system, and finishes. There is significant electrical and ceiling work in the hallways near NN182 and the vaults. The scope of the work is approximately 2,500 SF and includes structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, lead shielding upgrade, interior architectural modifications, and new interior finishes. All work takes place in the UWMC Montlake Tower. Additionally, there will be office modifications in NN120.
