Project scope includes to replace clinical laboratory equipment that is end of life and install updated automation equipment within the lab at three locations: University of Washington Medical Center Montlake, University of Washington Medical Center Northwest and Harborview Medical Center. This project will require a phased approach to meet lab medicine validation needs that require current and new equipment to be run concurrently within the existing lab footprint for a minimum of 30 days. Once the new equipment is validated, it will need to be relocated to its final location. The design build team will be responsible for determining all infrastructure requirements to allow for concurrent operations as well as the final locations and installation of the automation equipment. The project will require detailed coordination with Roche, lab equipment vendor, as well as Lab Medicine and Operations and Maintenance personnel at all three facilities. Construction will occur concurrently at all three locations and the final schedule will be determined in partnership with Lab Medicine. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
