Scope of work is as indicated on drawings and specifications. In general, the scope includes: 1. Select abatement of hazardous materials, refer to specification Section 01 11 00. 2. Replace existing steam pipe expansion joints as indicated on the drawings. 3. Replace existing utility support framing, hangers, and fittings. 4. Installation of new aluminum access ladders and crossover platforms. 5. Repair of concrete spalling and cracking throughout the Utilidor. 6. Installation of new sump pumps with associated pumping and electrical work. 7. Replacement of existing Utilidor light fixtures, switches, and select receptacles. 8. Replace damaged and corroding junction boxes containing primary feeders. 9. Water infiltration repairs including epoxy grout injection and new waterproofing. 10. General debris removal including clearing of existing floor drains and sediment tank. 11. Thorough final cleaning of all concrete surfaces within the Utilidor. 12. Resinous epoxy flooring at mechanical rooms per Additive Alternate No. 1, see Section 01 23 00 – Alternates for additional information. Mandatory 15% apprentice labor hours of the total labor hours are a requirement of the construction contract. Voluntary numerical Diverse Business goals of 10% MBE, 6% WBE, 5% Washington Small Business, and 5% Veterans have been established for this project. Achievement of the goals is encouraged. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
