The project for which the Port of Skagit is going out to bid for is the hangar floor restoration of the project site address noted above. The total square footage of the project is approximately 13,500 sq ft. The floor is a painted 6” concrete slab approximately 24 years old. The floor also includes approximately 1000 lineal ft of joints. The substrate is to be mechanically scrape and grind to remove current failed coatings and then shot blast substrate to achieve the manufactured required surface profile. This includes all sections of the substrate including the field, edges, doorways, drains and various structural components of the building. Strike all joints flush with Tnemec 215, or similar, re-surfacing epoxy. Mask all floor drains, edges, and terminate keyways. Provide and install Tnemec 208, or equivalent, on entire surface. Provide and install Tnemec 210, or equivalent, self-leveling epoxy with color of white. Sand and/or buff entire surface between coats. Provide and install Tnemec 222, or equivalent, intermediate coat. Provide and install Urethane topcoat Tnemec 248, or equivalent, to provide wear surface. Provide unit rate for repair of (1) 6” area of spalling. This will be used as a unit rate if additional small areas are found with the removal of existing failed coatings. Onsite 3-Phase 240/480 Volt electrical power, overhead lighting, heating, restrooms, parking, and potable water. All stripping products and materials collected must be disposed of properly offsite by the contractor.
